scenes from a millennium celebration wdw vacation ...

... day three - blizzard beach.

So our last day at Walt Disney World was really only a partial, both of our planes left at 7 pm. Thus, the Mears shuttle was going to pick us up at 5 pm. Thus we had up until 4 pm to goof around. We chose to go to my old WDWCP stomping grounds, Blizzard Beach.

It's such a fun park. You can really design your own day, if you want to float around Cross Country Creek all day, you can. Or you can take in some big-ass water slides. Or you can sunbathe. Or you can bury yourself up to your head in sand, like our friend Zak is known to do. Whatever you want.

We chose a little of everything, kinda heavy on the floating and relaxing. It was just fun for me to be back there, although both of the carts that I used to run are gone. The one on the beach has been replaced by a full service bar and a more-real food stand, and the one by the kids area has been replaced by a sign. For real. When I worked there, I was pretty much an information station, people would ask how they could get to the lockers, the top of the mountain, Universal Studios (no, not really.) It was a fun way to spend the summer.
