This is odd - I've been taken aback by two stories about Islam recently.

The first is about a soccer player in Italy who was benched for fasting during Ramadan.

On the one hand, it makes sense, but it's a terribly touchy subject.

The second story is even weirder - Muslims in Malaysia have been barred from attending a Black Eyed Peas concert. I guess the show is sponsored by Guinness, and Muslims are not allowed to consume alcohol.

That's a little more reactionary - just because one attends an event sponsored by a company doesn't mean that they believe in that company.

Because if they did, that would mean that all American football fans like drinking beer and driving big trucks.

Oh, wait ...
